This class builds on the skills developed in the Intro to Impro class (although it can be taken as a stand-alone course).

What makes Theatre different from TV? Learn how to use your voice and body to create and tell stories in an exciting and theatrical manner! Develop a theatrical language using the elements of drama and apply these skills to the creation of a piece of devised theatre. Hone those ever important 21st Century skills such as critical thinking and collaboration.

In this series of ten classes, we will look at physical theatre, verbatim theatre, and other exciting theatrical ways to tell stories inspired by works of art, myths, science fiction, music, and autobiographies. Course culminates in a performance (students are responsible for sourcing costumes, creating SFX and any other elements they would like to add) that will be recorded and then made available to participants as a record of their work.

Duration – 10 x 50 minutes
Cost - $120 USD
Class is suitable for ages 10 and up.
Please note that all classes require a minimum of three students to run. Register your interest in a time on the EduMax calendar today!
